Leadership for people, not above people
Recognizing the complexity of the individual, with his or her selfishness, contradictions, but also values, resilience, ability to evolve, to survive in hostile environments and above all to accept the most daring challenges.
Leadership to create value from complexity
This leadership style is based on ethical integrity, the ability to make decisions under stress and in complex contexts.
It manages uncertainty, seizes opportunities even quickly and adapts to changes, including technological ones such as AI.
The first person to impact: themselves
The leader focuses on the right questions, pays attention not only to the “what” but also to the “how”, and acts consistently, guided by their ethical values, for themselves and for the team.
Humanistic Leadership and AI
Facing the expansion of AI applications, Humanistic Leadership takes on a key role of guarantee both in the training of AI and in the evaluation of the solutions proposed by AI.
The two processes are not necessarily in antithesis, but can be integrated into a possible Augmented Humanistic Leadership, in which AI can support the leader in developing empathy and in managing relational and emotional dynamics, to navigate the complexity of modern business environments and finally, if appropriately controlled, it can also be a tool for verifying ethical standards in the most critical decisions.
Roots of Humanistic Leadership
Humanistic Leadership has its roots in the origins of Western culture with precursors in the philosophy of ancient Greece that moved the center of philosophical speculation from nature to man and in the Humanism of the 15th century that moved the centrality of decisions from God to man.
Now Humanistic Leadership gives people back a role that goes beyond the mere translation into numbers (votes in an election, costs in a budget, added value generated, etc.) to achieve more challenging and complex goals.
